En el catalanisme radical dels anys de la República, Unió Democràtica de Catalunya i Palestra no se situaven a l’esquerra. Tot i que l’independentisme polític d’esquerres ha estat àmpliament estudiat darrerament, el denominat de dretes encara no disposa de prou estudis. Aquest treball vol contribuir a cobrir aquest buit, tot oferint un estat de la qüestió i aprofundint en la situació política i en l’acció cultural d’aquests sectors dins del catalanisme, en un context de tensions socials creixents durant els anys trenta.

Abstract (English):
Within the radical Catalan nationalist movement of the Republican period, Unió Democràtica de Catalunya and Palestra did not position themselves on the political left. While left-wing political independence movements have been extensively studied over recent decades, their right-wing, conservative or law-and order counterparts still await comprehensive study. This article seeks to help fill this gap by providing a state of the question and by analysing the political context and the civic and cultural action of these sectors within the Catalan nationalist movement, against a backdrop of rising social tensions during the 1930s.
