El C2 i els docents: una febre diguem-ne lingüística
The C2 and teachers: a «linguistic» fever
Aquest article analitza críticament l’exigència del nivell C2 de català per accedir a la docència a Catalunya. Contextualitza la mesura en el marc legal i en destaca les contradiccions entre el nivell descrit i la realitat formativa del professorat. S’hi denuncia la inflació de certificats, l’afebliment dels criteris d’avaluació i els efectes adversos. L’estudi alerta que la generalització del C2 pot frenar la formació continuada i proposa, com a alternativa, una formació permanent centrada en actituds sociolingüístiques responsables.

Abstract (English):
This article offers a critical analysis of the C2 Catalan certification requirement to access teaching positions in Catalonia. It provides context for the measure within the legal framework and highlights the contradictions between the C2 level as it is described on paper and the reality of teachers’ knowledge. It condemns the inflation of certificates, the undermining of evaluation criteria, and the adverse consequences.The study warns that the generalisation of the C2 certification can become an obstacle to continuing education, and it suggests an alternative: ongoing training focused on responsible sociolinguistic attitudes.
